What makes this useful
A reminder is a prompt to record an observation, not a demand to have a bowel movement.
Choose deliberately whether to reopen the app yourself and review reminder permissions when the break ends. A consistent label such as “notifications off” helps connect the day you remember with the visit you saved.
A practical way to begin
- Choose a daily reminder time during onboarding or in Account.
- Review or disable the reminder from Account when it is no longer useful.
- During notification breaks, use the reminder to decide whether there is a real visit to record. Skip it when there is nothing to add, and revisit the time when the “notifications off” routine changes.
An example of useful context
“Notifications off this week; opening the journal when convenient.”
Was the reminder disabled intentionally, or do you need to check its permission?
Use your own wording and the details you remember. A short, recognizable note makes it easier to find the visit later.
Where this fits in LooPoo
Set bowel-journal reminders that fit your day explains the full workflow and its limits.
Use Account in the iPhone app for this part of your record. The notification does not need private visit details on your lock screen.
LooPoo keeps check-ins and preferences encrypted on your phone. It describes your observations without diagnosing, treating, or predicting a medical outcome.
