Set bowel-journal reminders that fit your day

A useful reminder prompts you to record or review something real. It should fit your schedule and remain easy to change when your schedule changes.

Separate logging from reviewing

A daily check-in reminder is a prompt to remember a visit you can describe. It is not a demand to have a bowel movement at a particular time. If there is no visit to record, you do not need to create an entry to satisfy the notification.

A weekly reflection is a different task: looking back at existing entries. That might mean finding a note, comparing two visits, or checking what you recorded during a busy week. Choose a time when you can review without rushing.

Start after there is something to return to

After a saved first check-in, LooPoo can offer a daily reminder. Review or disable the reminder from Account. Do not add a notification simply because the control is available; choose a time you expect to find useful.

After three real check-ins, Rhythm offers a weekly reflection day and time. The reminder does not create a pattern or fill gaps in the record. Continued logging and the paid views still follow the membership access rules.

Check notification permission

Saving a preferred time and allowing iPhone notifications are separate decisions. If notifications are off, the app explains that state. You can review permission in iPhone Settings without changing the observations already in your journal.

If a reminder does not arrive, check both the saved reminder control and the phone’s notification settings. Changing a time repeatedly is unlikely to resolve a denied notification permission. Follow the in-app message for the current state.

Adjust the routine instead of inventing entries

A night shift, trip, or changing work schedule may make an old reminder inconvenient. Choose a better time or turn it off. When you return to logging after a break, start with the next visit you remember rather than reconstructing every missed day.

During a weekly review, read dates and individual entries together. An unrecorded day remains a gap in the record. LooPoo’s reminders support a private journaling workflow; they do not prescribe a bowel routine or a medical outcome.
