Export a bowel diary from your iPhone

An export gives you a portable copy of your saved observations. Know what the file includes and where you are sending it before it leaves your phone’s journal storage.

Export the stored journal

In LooPoo, open Account and choose Export my history. The app prepares the recorded history as CSV for the iPhone share sheet. This control remains available without buying continued access when your local journal is readable.

A Journal search or custom date range controls the entries you are browsing. It does not turn Export my history into an export of only those visible matches. Review the full file if you only intend to share entries from a particular trip or period.

Choose the destination deliberately

Use the share sheet to save a copy to a location you control or to select the app you intend to use. Opening the share sheet is not the same as sending a message; review the destination and finish the action yourself.

The exported copy may include private notes as well as structured visit details. Consider whether those notes are appropriate for the recipient. A CSV is a data file, not a diagnostic report, and LooPoo does not add a clinician’s interpretation.

Prepare for a conversation

Before an appointment, identify the dates and entries you want to discuss. Write down the questions the record raises for you. A few clear references can be easier to navigate than asking someone to read every row without context.

Ask the intended recipient which format and delivery method they accept. If they gave you a specific diary form, complete that form as requested. Do not assume that an app export is automatically imported into a clinical record.

Keep track of separate copies

A file saved outside LooPoo is managed by the destination app or service. Deleting an entry inside LooPoo does not update a CSV you already exported. If you correct an important detail, create a fresh copy and distinguish it from the older one.

If export is unavailable while the journal is locked or recovering, use the recovery guidance shown in the app. Avoid deleting the only local record merely to try to unlock a sharing control. Support can help explain the available controls without requiring you to send private journal contents.
