What makes this useful
A trip or schedule change does not always fit a preset week or month.
Keep departure and arrival dates separate and avoid using the ticket date as a substitute for visit time. A consistent label such as “overnight train” helps connect the day you remember with the visit you saved.
A practical way to begin
- Choose dates in Journal, set the first and last day, and apply the range.
- Clear the custom range when you want to return to the standard 7-, 30-, or 90-day view.
- For overnight train journeys, use the first and last dates you want included. A “overnight train” note can then narrow the range to relevant visits rather than every visit on those days.
An example of useful context
“Arrival morning on the overnight train, before leaving the station.”
Does the saved date match the visit rather than the departure printed on the ticket?
Use your own wording and the details you remember. A short, recognizable note makes it easier to find the visit later.
