Start a bowel journal during rotating shifts

Create a first record you can return to. A repeating rotation can contain mornings, evenings, and days off within the same week.

What makes this useful

Start with a visit that actually happened, rather than trying to reconstruct an entire week.

Use a consistent name for each shift type and retain the actual calendar date. A consistent label such as “shift rotation” helps connect the day you remember with the visit you saved.

A practical way to begin

  1. Choose the closest shape, answer how the visit felt, then record duration and whether you felt finished.
  2. Add any optional note or visit-time correction before saving, then review the saved result.
  3. For rotating shifts, one recognizable detail is enough to start: “Morning shift in this rotation, before leaving home.” Add it only if it describes your visit.

An example of useful context

“Morning shift in this rotation, before leaving home.”

Are the entries from matching shift types, or simply consecutive dates?

Use your own wording and the details you remember. A short, recognizable note makes it easier to find the visit later.

Where this fits in LooPoo

A bowel movement tracker for iPhone explains the full workflow and its limits.

Use Today in the iPhone app for this part of your record. Membership is offered at the end of onboarding, before the first saved check-in.

LooPoo keeps check-ins and preferences encrypted on your phone. It describes your observations without diagnosing, treating, or predicting a medical outcome.
