Set a check-in reminder during split shifts

Choose a useful prompt to remember your record. Two work periods on one date can make a single workday label unclear.

What makes this useful

A reminder is a prompt to record an observation, not a demand to have a bowel movement.

Distinguish the first shift, the gap, and the second shift in plain words. A consistent label such as “split shift” helps connect the day you remember with the visit you saved.

A practical way to begin

  1. Choose a daily reminder time during onboarding or in Account.
  2. Review or disable the reminder from Account when it is no longer useful.
  3. During split shifts, use the reminder to decide whether there is a real visit to record. Skip it when there is nothing to add, and revisit the time when the “split shift” routine changes.

An example of useful context

“Between the two shifts, during the afternoon gap.”

Which part of the split shift contains the visit you want to review?

Use your own wording and the details you remember. A short, recognizable note makes it easier to find the visit later.
